Blues Boot Camp, Part Deux!
Author: Keyser520 :: Posted: Fri 07/18/08 11:03 am

Blues Boot Camp Registration is open!

We read the surveys. We heard your comments. We listened.

We're bringing you an event that's bigger and better than last year!

What's the difference?
* This year, you don't get two days of workshops. You get three!
* This year, we don't have 6 instrutors. We have 8!
* This year, there aren't 3 tracks of instruction, there are 4!
* This year, auditions aren't 1 hour on Saturday morning, they are the ENTIRE day of workshops on Friday.
* This year, we are pushing the envelope on conventional dance instruction to bring you a weekend to push you to the edge of your abilities!

A new audition process!
We've heard the comments made at many auditions: "I had a bad lead/follow for both of the songs!", "I just wasn't feeling the music during the auditions!", "The judges only saw me dance for 30 seconds. It wasn't enough time!".

We listened.

The audition process is all day Friday, integrated within the workshop classes. This means that every recruit who is auditioning will get to dance with the instructors, will get to be watched by the instructors, and will get to have a full day to make their impression on the instructors. This means that the instructors will be able to watch how well you respond to their instruction, how fast you pick up material, how much you improve over the course of the day. They will be able to feel your connection and your technique. There won't be any cause for the complaints listed above!

--But what if I can't make it Friday?
We will have a short audition on Saturday morning for those that couldn't make it Friday. Whatever decisions are made there are final. Your best chance to get in the track that will help you learn the most you can is to there Friday!

We're adding something new this year, and we're calling it Operation Mimic. Details are currently classified.

We listened, and we made BBC bigger and better!

Come to Dallas, Texas and join us for 4 nights of dancing with some of the best DJs in the country, 3 exciting and challenging days of workshops with some of the nation's top instructors, and one hell of an ass-kicking good time!
