So, SocalSwing has been very very quite for too long. It's time we start posting something entertaining!

Here's how it works. Simply post a photo of yourself or a fellow dancer, out dancing, doing something or looking silly. Anything entertaining will do, staged or candid.

So, now I feel a little bad about posting that picture. That's what I get for posting after 1:00am.

One of the things I love about lindy hop is how you can dance serious, more sensual, or silly and fun. Some other dances feel more constrained to the mood of the music and dance.

Also taking a snapshot in time of any dance no matter how good can make it look awkward.

Sometimes partners will break away during a competition then come back together. Here's a shot during the competition at CH 2007. Dan is looking for his partner.




Here's a shot where Ben & Sheri decided to ignore the existence of the floor. It looks like they didn't get it on tape might be how they got away with it
